How to combine AI with UX and analytics for better conversions

Your website might look great to you—but your customers don’t see it like you do.

They’re not admiring your font choices or marveling at your clever product descriptions. They're trying to find an answer. A price. A button. Something that tells them, "Yes, this is for you."

So here's a fresh trick: Use AI to walk through your website like a real person.

Prompt: “Pretend you're a customer – what’s confusing on this site?”

Drop your homepage URL into ChatGPT or Claude and ask it this:

"Pretend you're a confused customer visiting this site for the first time. What feels unclear, overwhelming, or hard to find?"

Then try:

"Now act like a competitor trying to out-sell me. Where would you improve this page?"

This isn't just fun roleplay. It's friction-finding gold.

🔥 Bonus: Combine AI with your Hotjar or GA4 exports

Want even deeper insights? Here’s how to take it further:

  1. Export a session recording summary or a heatmap report from Hotjar.

  2. Paste in a visitor flow or path analysis from GA4.

  3. Ask ChatGPT:

“Based on this user behavior, what part of the site seems confusing or off-track?”

AI can’t see heatmaps—but it can spot patterns if you describe them. For example:

  • “Most users click the top nav but bounce after 10 seconds.”

  • “No one scrolls past the first CTA.”

Let the AI turn your behavioral data into hypotheses worth testing.

Real World Example

A local service business we worked with had a homepage CTA that read “Let’s Talk.” Sounded friendly—but nobody was clicking. After an AI review + Hotjar session playback, we realized users didn’t know what they’d be talking about.

We changed the button to:“Schedule a Free 15-Min Marketing Consult” Clicks tripled. The difference? Clarity.
